Went out to recheck eyes before release. Bird flying very well but eye damage is severe.
Decided that it is not releasable, especially since it is a juvenile.
We knew the eye damage was severe on intake so this isn't a surprise. Euthanized with 2.0 cc pentobarb IC.

Exam:

Quiet but standing in box with a lot of mutes in box and on feathers. No fractures palpated and no open wounds. Seemed painful in left wing. Torb given. Slightly underweight. OU big concern but some reaction, not sure if visual. Radiograph taken under 2% ISO via mask confirmed no fractures. Very slow to wake up. Cleaned off feathers . Placed in KR2 in donut but stood up immediately.

Fluids: 30 ml LRS SQ + Vit B
Torb: 0.18 ml IM
Meloxi: 0.09 ml IM
Iron: 0.09 ml IM
