Keel bandage is off. There is small dry scab protruding thru skin on midline. I removed it and there was just a small (8-9 mm) bloody wound. Very clean. You can definitely see and feel two parallel lines of bone as if the keel was split and part was pushed to the right side. Flushed and dressed with SSD + telfa + tega.

MOVED TO: R29 with other OSPR. Flew right up to perch.

Very BAR. Vocal. Difficult to handle.

Anesthetized with iso via mask. Small area of bone exposed at top of keel. It felt movable. Started to clean it and then bird stopped breathing. Heart rate very arrythmic. Would drop to less than 60 and then up over 200. Aborted. Was able to clean and flush small area of bone before fully awake. Clean and healthy. Covered with SSD, duoderm, tega, and telfa.

Gave meds PO.

when we removed the scab over bony knob, noticed clear yellow liquid exudate, followed by moderate amount of fresh blood; knob seems bony and connected to underlying tissue;
cleaned, flushed, dried, applied SSD, Duoderm, Telfa and tegaderm
