This bird has been extremely hesitant to fly. We haven't found much diagostically wrong, so it must be related to pain. The droop gets worse over time. It has been over 100 days. Prognosis is poor so we elected euthanasia.
Anesthetized with iso via mask. Euthanized with 2.0 cc pentobarb IC and IV.

BAR but very resistant to fly. Holds left wing out a bit. Can fly perch to perch but rough and definitely off on left side.
ROM is perfect. Palpation is WNL
Left foot slightly pink but good texture.
Molting heavily but not preening primaries on left side. I preened them a bit an accidentally caused a small amount of bleeding - the feather should be ok, I think.


Anesthetized with iso via mask. VD rad perfect. CBC pending


MOVED TO: R5 so we can force fly him a bit more.

Food in cage: 84 g m

Plan: drop weight. His 300 gram over intake at keel of 3. Force exercise.

Total 15x: Orange was originally on a lower perch and attempted to fly but wasn't
able to achieve lift, hopped to the ground where it remained for the rest of the
session.

No Color flew 2 times with uturns but then flew to the ground and refused to fly.

Pink refused to fly at all. Occasionally would see it lifting its left leg but would
put it down again.
Light Blue initially refused to fly after 3 laps but then start again after lap 5.

Yellow and purple flew very strong from perch to perch for the entire session.

BLVU flies 1/3 then hops but can also fly to low perch - 6x
Could not distinguish by color bands, maybe the light or maybe they chewed off their
color bands.
2 flew well, gliding, sym - 12x
everybody else had major issues. one that looked like pink to me, but maybe is purple
only flew once - from low perch to low perch, very asym and flappy/labored, extremely
reluctant, even when I touched him gently with a stick. One, that I think was lime,
definately older (red tail) so prob lime was asym and dipped low - 8x. All others
were labored and wonky, asym, not good 6-8x.
