Checked on these guys. Molting--Right tail 6,2 appear short/missing from a distance. This bird has a slight-to-moderate right wing droop. He definitely uses more effort to make the right wing flap.

Applied a figure-8 although the bird did not arrive with one in place (rehabber had issues re-applying it this AM) . Given fluids, meloxicam, and food. ------------- PHYSICAL EXAM FINDINGS ---------------- Head Behavior and Neuro: BAR Other: very stressed Body Body condition score: 2.5 Wings Left ulna and radius: midshaft ulna fracture, no open wound Legs Feathers: soiled, very matted, mainly around the leg webs and abdomen The ulna fracture is starting to heal but a little unstable. You can palpate a callus that is starting to form. No open wound. Perfect ROM of wing. Applied velcro wrap. Did not find any other problems during the exam. Coverts soiled around legs and abdomen. Flight feathers are also a little soiled. This might be something that the bird is able to clean himself with access to water - but we might need to bathe him. Gave 20 cc LRS SQ, 0.30 cc meloxicam PO, 0.50 cc terbinafine PO, and 0.08 cc iron dex IM. Gave iron becasue the bird was said to be emaciated when it was admitted (although the weight does not indicate it). Will get a full body radiograph at first PT. The radiograph that was sent from the rehabber looks like the fracture site has lead in it, and potentially something in the left pelvic area. Banded: 18129 Placed in R7. Left 60 g Q.
